This fellowship is open to teachers involved in the 2018 Financial Literacy Guide for Special Education Students Working Group. Applicants will be notified of our final decision by December 15, 2018.
Currently there is funding for two, $1,250 stipends for our Special Education Fellows. Fellows will:
Complete work on the Financial Literacy Guide for Special Education Students, an online resource for Utah’s high school and adult special education teachers. The guide is scheduled to be published by February 2019.
Present a full day training in March 2019 to 40 special education teachers in the Salt Lake County area.
Prepare and help implement a teacher outreach effort to promote the guide and it’s use. This may include presenting a conferences, moderating a Facebook group, etc.
Fellows will be provided administrative support from the Utah Jump$tart Coalition. Fellows will be provided a detailed agreement and the fellowship will be from December 2018 to July 2019. Payments of the stipends will be dispersed based on completion of project goals.
